St.
Mungo’s members have many talents, and one of Jack Hutcheson’s many talents is
an eye for a good picture and the ability to express that in paint. In his first
exhibition in 72 years, as he puts it, Jack is showing a selection of his works
at the Gallery Cafe West Street in Penicuik throughout March 2009, Monday to
Saturday 10.00am to 4.00pm.
A special opening event was held on Sunday March 1st between 2.00pm and 4.00pm,
where Jack explained his enthusiasm at trying differing techniques to achieve
his vision, and and some of his favourite locations across Scotland, none more
than around the Eildon Hills near his hometown of Melrose.
All the paintings in the exhibition are available to purchase. But be quick,
some were sold during the opening event. You never know these may become future
"Vettriano" classics.
