The Church was filled with mums, dads, granny's and grandpa's for the Nativity
play on Sunday 18th December.
The excitement is building with only one week to go to the big day, the celebration
of the birth of Jesus.
With a small but enthusiastic Sunday School the teachers arranged a presentation
by the angels, that involved all of the congregation, while still telling the
age old story of the birth of Christ.
Ron then made a Christingle with the help of the "angels" which
sits in front of the cards with names and addresses of those around the world
known to the congregation and prayed for by us all at this special time of year.
A selection of favourite carols, some from the new CH4 hymnbook, were sung to
get everyone into the Christmas spirit.
A full programme of carols will be sung at the watchnight service, starting at 11.30 on
Saturday 24th.
There is also a service at
7.00pm on the 24th at Aaron House nursing home, to which all are welcome. |
