The age old story was told by the Sunday School teachers, and acted out by not
only the Sunday School, but members of the congregation.
As the story unfolded congregation members holding letters were called from to
join the Sunday School. Our locum minister, Rev John Stevenson, provided
readings in "Auld Scots" so members had to pin their ears back to keep up.
Through Carols and short Lessons all the cards were called forward and when
stood in a row formed the word Christmas.
Of course we all know that the most important part of this word is Christ, God's
only son arriving as a helpless child, destined to save us all.
With Kings and Angels the Sunday School though small, played out their
multitasking parts very professionally.
We sang the Christmas Carols:
- All things Bright and Beautiful
- Love came down at Christmas
- Away in a manger
- While Humble Shepherds
- As with Gladness
