Friday the 29th of November saw
another St. Andrews night at St. Mungo's. Around 50 people joined
the meal of stovies, trifle, cheesecake and coffee before the
entertainment started.Bill Irving
took to his trumpet to announce the acts which varied from three
craws and Len Cox as "Leonardo le pugh" through to Sandy
"Chick Murray" Robertson, and Fran and Anna, alias
Agnes Ovenstone and Margaret Black, together with their blow up
dolly "friend".
Ian Tait, Gordon MacDonald and
Bob Jarmson provided the skiffle group backing to Bill's trumpet
and a boom boom to his jokes! The choice also provided some musical
interludes, complete with yoyo's, but failed to beat Alison Howie
dressed in a modified bin bag with wings made to look like one of
the three craws! The yellow feet were very fetching.
A fine night was had by all and some laughter on the way helped make
this a weekend to remember.
