St. Mungo's hosted the a summer Strawberry Fair on Saturday 29 July 2006. Glorious weather in the weeks, yes weeks, running up to the event held on to allow the stalls to be setup outside in the garden.

A pet show was added this year, with Florence, owned by Jack Hutcheson, taking top honours, having the "waggiest" tail.

A bustling café in the hall provided fresh strawberries and cream with scones and pancakes; tea and coffee.

A total of £462 was raised for church funds, with more donations promised.
